The window or the door is provided with elastic seals which are arranged between the case frame (5) and the casement (11). On the lateral frame members, these seals have two sealing lips, one (7) of which bears, in the closed state of the window or the door, against a surface (9) lying in the direction of opening (K) of the window, whereas the other (8) bears against a surface (10) running transversely to the opening direction (K). In order to obtain, with only partial opening of the window, a ventilation gap only in the upper region, only the sealing lip (8) which bears against the surface (10) running transversely to the opening direction (K) is provided on the upper frame member. <IMAGE>
