NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I [glc.pyr is glucopyranosyl; G is galloyl of formula II], EXAMPLE:3-O-galloyl-28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-2alpha, 3beta, 19alpha-trihyd-roxyolean-12- en-24,28-dioic acid. USE:A drug having antienzyme activity. PREPARATION:For example, a plant such as URAJIROGASHI (bark of Quercus salicina) is extracted with 80% aqueous acetone, concentrated, and the obtained aqueous solution is extracted with ethyl acetate. The obtained ethyl acetate layer is subjected to the separation with column chromatography. |
