PURPOSE:To prevent earlier wear by removing or reducing backlash by enabling elastic deformation of a rim unit of a tooth to a radius direction. CONSTITUTION:In operation of a printer, a motor 6 is driven and the rotation of the motor is transmitted to a platen 1 through a drive gear 4, a second gear 3 and a first gear 2 to rotate the platen 1. The distance between the first and the second gears 2, 3 is made by a formed product integrally made by ring type rim units 2a, 3a and disc type supporting units 2e, 3e supporting the rim units. And teeth 2b, 3b are formed on the outer peripheral faces of rim units 2a, 3a and these teeth are engaged with each other. Both the teeth 2, 3 are so designed that at least their rim units 2a, 3a are made of elastic material, for instance, polyacetar, polyester etc. |
