PURPOSE:To change a visual field without bending an image fiber and to improve the durability of the fiber by rotating a side observation device fixed to the leading end of a hollow cylinder around the optical axis of the image fiber and varying an angle from the optical axis. CONSTITUTION:The hollow cylinder 10 fixing the side observation prism 11 to its leading end part is pivotally held by a holding case 12. Since a rotary shaft 15 is rotated in accordance with the rotation of a rotor 17 arranged on the hollow cylinder side and a screw 27 is rotated through a reduction gear 20 in accordance with its output shaft 22 and gears 23, 32, the prism 11 changes the angle by using a supporting point 24 as its supporting point. A rotary shaft 37 is rotated in accordance with the rotation of a rotor 39 arranged on the holding case 12 side and the prism 11 is rotated around the optical axis of the image fiber 13 in accordance with the rotation of the hollow cylinder 10 fixed on an output shaft 44. Consequently, the visual field can be changed without bending the image fiber 13 and the durability of the fiber 13 can be improved.
