Self-propelled vehicle for cleaning sugar beet, potatoes or other root crops covered with earth which must be cleaned at once before they are transported to the processing factory or other place in order to avoid the useless cost of transporting earth. It is formed from a chassis 1 on which an endless belt is installed taking the beet deposited on the earth in order to lift it to the top of the tank 4 which the belt crosses and where it will be cleaned by pressurised jets 7; the earth and water will fall down into the tank 4 in the form of slush 16 from where they will subsequently be ejected. It is used in agriculture or in industries for cleaning all plants, root crops and vegetables. <IMAGE>
