摘要 PURPOSE:To permit a good quality printing even on a recording medium of insufficient surface smoothness by constituting a secondary ink layer of heat fusion type binder with its cohesive force larger than that of a primary ink layer of similar binder and by providing the secondary ink layer of a specified thickness. CONSTITUTION:A primary ink layer 3-1 and a secondary ink layer 3-2 of thermal transfer type are formed on a substrate 2 of known film or paper and, at least one of the two layers has a coloring agent dispersed or dissolved in it. The primary ink layer may easily be peeled from its substrate when heated, and a cohesive force of the secondary ink layer is larger than that of the primary one, and the layer thickness of the former is 0.01mum or more and under 1mum. The ink layer 3 is locally heated by printing or transfer patterns. The primary ink layer has a weak adhesion to the substrate and its cohesive force of the layer itself is weak, dresulting in easy peeling, and the secondary ink layer has a strong cohesion force and has a specified thickness, resulting in continuous heating dots and a softened and fused ink layer has a strong hold on a recording medium by the pressure of heat head. Therefore, all dots to which voltage is applied becomes satisfactorily transferable even onto a recording medium of insufficient surface smoothness.
