NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (R is alpha-, beta-, or gamma-amino acid residue which may have protecting group at the N-terminal; A1 is alpha-, beta- or gamma-amino acid residue or dipeptide residue which may be substituted at the side chain functional group if any; A2 is basic amino acid residue) and its salt. EXAMPLE:D-valyl-L-prolyl-L-arginyl-4-[N-ethyl-N-(beta-hydroxyethyl-)am ino]anilide. USE:Substrate for the determination of blood coagulant factor. PREPARATION:The compound of formula can be prepared e.g. by reacting the C-terminal amino acid having protected amino group and side-chain functional group with N-ethyl-N-(beta-hydroxyethyl)-p-phenylenediamine, removing the amino-protecting group, and reacting successively with amino acids according to the amino acid sequence. The decomposition product produced by the contact of the compound with a blood coagulant factor is condensed with a coupler in the presence of an oxidizing agent to effect the color development, and the color is determined by colorimetry to determine the blood coagulant factor. |
