Living compartment of the foldable and/or dismantlable type, comprising a foldable assembly 6 having, for the purpose of forming an internal space open on one side, a floor 7, a roof 8 extending above the said floor and capable of being lowered or stored in a position close to the said floor and lateral walls 9, 10, 11 connecting its floor 7 and its roof 8 over a part of their perimeter and of which at least the upper part of these lateral walls is capable of being folded or stored above the said floor, as well as a foldable element 31 comprising a floor 32, lateral walls 33, 34, 35 and a roof 36, which foldable element 6, in the deployed position, delimits an internal space extending the said internal space of the said foldable assembly and of which, in the folded or stored position, the roof or a lateral wall 35 is placed over the lateral walls and the roof, in the folded or stored position, of the said assembly 6.
