PURPOSE:To obtain a broad band frequency characteristic by connecting two slot/strip converters having output terminals and two diodes to two strip/slot converters having input terminals in a balance type mixer. CONSTITUTION:The two strip/slot converters 5, 6 comprising a strip line and a slot line and having the input terminal and two slot/strip converter 7 connected to them and having the output terminal are provided and two diodes 3 are connected to the converters 7. An RF signal inputted from a terminal 1 is transmitted from the strip line to the two slot lines by the converter 5, passes through the converter 6, transmitted from the two slot lines to the strip line by the converter 7, fed to the diodes 3 and short-circuited by an RF short- circuit 4. Further, a local oscillation signal inputted from a terminal 2 is short- circuited similarly by the RF short-circuit 4. Further, an intermediate frequency signal generated by the two diodes 3 is not transmitted toward the converter 7 by an intermediate wave short-circuit 2 but outputted from a terminal 3.
