PURPOSE:To obtain the title waste gas treating apparatus having improved heat resistance and an excellent dust collecting effect by forming the solid material bed of slaked lime on the surface of a porous ceramic filter medium through the precoat layer of a special reaction assistant, and forming a denitration catalyst bed on the surface on the effluent surface side. CONSTITUTION:A porous ceramic filter medium 1 on which a denitration cata lyst bed 4 is formed is provided in a waste gas duct. A special reaction assistant consisting of the powder of zeolite, alumina, etc. is introduced, and a precoat layer 2 is formed. Meanwhile, when waste gas into which slaked lime is blowin is introduced, the slaked lime reacts with hydrogen chloride in the waste gas to form calcium chloride. The calcium chloride and the unreacted slake lime reach the surface of the filter medium 1, and a solid material bed 3 is formed. The special reaction assistant is always injected into the waste gas duct to control the compaction of the powder bed 3. When the pressure drop is in creased, the powder bed is swept off, and a bed is freshly formed. |
