<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of treated water by providing plural reaction vessels packed therein with biocarrier particles which are not fluidized by the flow rate of the feed water alone and repeating alternately the thorough mixing by the fluidized beds of these reaction vessels and the plug flow by the stationary beds thereof. CONSTITUTION:The plural reaction vessels A, B packed therein with the biocarrier particles which are not fluidized by the flow rate of the feed water alone, circulating means 3A, 3B, 5A, 5B which are connected to the upper and lower parts of the reaction vessels and circulate the liquid in the reaction vessels, supply pipelines 5A, 5B for supplying the feed water to the lower part of each reaction vessel, take-out pipelines 8A, 8B for taking out the treated water from each reaction vessel and connecting pipelines 10A, 10B which connect the above-mentioned take-out pipelines of the reaction vessels to the supply pipeline for the feed water of the other reaction vessels are provided. More specifically, part of the reaction vessels is operated by the fluidized bed and the other reaction vessels are operated by the stationary bed then part of the reaction vessels is operated by the stationary bed and the other reaction vessels by the moving bed and thereafter the same operations are repeated. As a result, the effective stripping of the biomembranes is made possible and the quality of the treated water is improved.</p> |
