<p>PURPOSE:The titled compsn. with excellent combustibility at the starting of an engine suppressing fouling of an ignition plug due to carbon, prepd. by adding a Ba compd. to a specified hydrocarbon oil. CONSTITUTION:100-5,000ppm, in terms of Ba metal, oil-soluble Ba compd. such as barium salt of alpha-alkylalkane monocarboxylic acid of the formula (wherein R is 1-4C alkyl; n is 1-5) is added to a hydrocarbon oil of boiling range of 30-250 deg.C comprising a mixture of a straight gasoline obtd. by the atmospheric distillation of crude oil, a gasoline fraction obtd. by the catalytic cracking of gas oil and a reforming gasoline obtd. by the catalytic reforming of naphtha.</p> |
