<p>PURPOSE:To attain grasp and section of a fault state easily by connecting a line fault analyzer to a secondary channel of a modulator-demodulator, analyzing the collected line fault information at an information processor and indicating the result in a form of output message to a display device on an operation console. CONSTITUTION:The line fault analyzer 5 takes consecutively a history data of a line or the modulator-demodulator 3 and reports a detected line fault and the state of the line number commanded from a communication processor 2 to the communication processor 2 via a fault information cable l6. If communication disable is generated during the execution of data transmission with terminal devices 41-4n, the communication processor 2 requests the state report of the line to the line fault analyzer 5 and applies appropriate processing such as restart of communication or notice to an information processor 1 based on the reply information. When a fault of the line and the modulator-demodulator 3 is reported from the line fault analyzer 5 while no request comes from the communication processor 2, the reported fault content is discriminated and proper processing is attained.</p> |
