PURPOSE:To obtain a curable epoxy product which has excellent storage stability and does not undergo decrease in heat curability, by adding an imidazole/ benzosulfimide adduct as a curing agent to an epoxy compound. CONSTITUTION:A curing agent comprising an imidazole/benzosulfimide adduct of the formula {wherein R1 is H, benzyl, beta-cyanoethyl or beta-[3,5-diamino-S- triazinyl-(1)-ethyl], R2 is H, alkyl or phenyl and R3 is H or methyl} is obtained by melting an imidazole compound and at least equimolar amount of benzosulfimide by heating and stirring, or dissolving them in a solvent with heating and distilling the solvent. A polyepoxy compound having at least one epoxy group in the molecule on the average (e.g., epoxidized resorcinol) is mixed with 0.1-10PHR said curing agent and, optionally, other curing agents (e.g., phenol), a pigment, a plasticizer, etc., and cured.
