PURPOSE:To decelerate the oxidation of a cut cooking material by coating an edged tool for cooking with the nitride, carbide or oxide of a metal such as Ti, Cr or Si. CONSTITUTION:An edged tool for cooking made of steel or stainless steel is coated with the nitride, carbide or oxide of a metal such as Ti, Cr or Si to about 1mum thickness. Even when the coated edged tool contacts with org. acids or org. fatty acids, metallic salts or metallic ions are not leached out. Accordingly, the oxidation of a cooking material cut with the coated edged tool can be decelerated. Since the surface of the coating is fine, the commodity value of the edged tool is increased. |
