PURPOSE:To remove surely particles deposited on a separated solid material by sprinkling clear water over a solid part under centrifugal separation in an apparatus wherein a liq. component is separated from the solid material by the revolution of a spiral impeller in the discharge cylinder of a solid deposit. CONSTITUTION:A solid deposit is collected at the central part of a solid and liq. separation vessel 1, and sent along with the liq. component into a solid delivery part of solid discharge cylinder 21. Then a spiral impeller 24 is rotated by a driving gear 29, and clear water is simultaneously injected and sprinkled from a clear water injection port 30 by a clear water supply device 31. The sent-in deposit and the liq. component are moved vertically upward while being centrifugally separated on the surface of the spiral impeller 24. During the centrifugal separation, the fine particles deposited on the solid deposit are stripped from the solid material by the centrifugal force, collision, and friction, and the fine particles are washed by the sprinkled water at the lower side of the clear water injection port 30.
