PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a side membrane by disposing an upper cold insulator and a lower insulator in engagement with each other with a difference in level on the inside surface of a vertical flexible gas seal plate. CONSTITUTION:A vertical flexible gas seal plate 6 is interposed between the upper portion of a side membrane and a guarder 5 disposed on a roof 4 of a storing tank, and is liquid-tightly fixed to the side membrane. An upper cold insulator 7 and a lower cold insulator 8 are liquid-tightly fixed to the upper and lower inside surfaces of the seal plate 6, and the joint portions of the upper and lower cold insulators 7, 8 are engaged with each other with a difference in level, and the dimensions of the cold insulators are set in such a manner that when it is the normal temperature in the storing tank, the cold insulators contact each other, and even if the cold insulators are vertically shifted in position at the time of storing low-temperature liquid, liquid-tightness can be substantially maintained. |
