PURPOSE:To cut a strip in a high-speed line by raising the top edge of a circular cutting edge which forms a part of the outer peripheral surface of a drum from the outer peripheral surface of the drum only in cutting the strip and nipping said strip between an auxiliary roller. CONSTITUTION:Into the drum K of a carousel type taking-up apparatus, a cutting edge X whose curved surface forms a part of the outer peripheral surface of the drum K and whose basic edge is pivotally supported by a pin 10 and which is connected with a working jig Y is built-in. When a strip S is cut, the cutting edge X is raised by the working jig Y, and the top edge of the cutter is protruded outside the drum K. The strip S is nipped between an auxiliary roller 2 set oppositely to the drum K and the cutting edge X. Therefore, the strip S can be cut in a high-speed line. |
