PURPOSE:To measure exactly the sintering degree of a sintered body with non-destruction and non-contact by scanning and irradiating plural sections of a sintered ore by an X-ray and discriminating an unsintered part and a sintering completed part from the detected image of an obtained transmission radiation intensity. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray irradiating device 5 and an X-ray detector 6 whose tube voltage and tube current are 100-420kV and 2-120mA respectively are placed in the upper and lower parts so that an X-ray beam 8 passes through the prescribed cross section of the sample 1 of the sintered ore, etc. of an iron ore, the X-ray beam is irradiated along a scanning surface 3 by using scanning start points 4a, 4b as origins, and the value (a) of the transmitted X-ray is detected by the detector 6. At the same time, an X-ray value (b) from the X-ray irradiating device 5 is detected directly by an X-ray detector 7, and the image of the scanning surface 3 by a difference of said detected values (a), (b) is displayed on a display device 19. This operation is executed by scanning of plural sections of the sintered ore 1, and a sintering advance state is discriminat ed exactly from a sintering completed part and a sintering uncompleted part in the sintered ore 1.
