PURPOSE:To extend easily a transmission time of a response exclusive message by allowing a reception message recording/reproducing means to record a message after the response message is transmitted when a changeover switch means is thrown to the 1st state and bringing a reception message recording/ reproducing means into the reproducing state so as to transmit the recorded response exclusive message to a telephone line when the changeover switch means is thrown to the 2nd state through the circuit control. CONSTITUTION:In throwing an operating mode switch means 3 to the normal operating mode, the telephone set acts like a conventional automatic answering telephone set. In throwing the operating mode switch means 3 to the response exclusive mode, a reception message tape recording/reproducing means 12 acts like a response message recording/reproducing means. Thus, the information message for a comparatively long time is recorded as weather forecast, and the means responds to an incoming call automatically to transmit the information message to a caller, then the means is utilized as an information offer service.
