PURPOSE:To operate surely for raising and descending of a wick adhered with tar by a method wherein a projection is provided at a connecting pat with an interconnection member of a wick adjustable shaft. CONSTITUTION:In the center line of a wick adjustable shaft 7, a clamping means comprises of a male and a female screws are provided, besides the projection 7c of the wick adjustable shaft 7 is inserted in the slit hole 52c of the interconnecting member 52 of the wick adjustable shaft 7 adjustment of the length of wicklength under exposed portion of the wick shaft is made such a way that during adjustment the female screw 13 is to leave keeping loosed and after having adjusted, then the female screw 13 is tightened, which indicate the work completed, as the wick adjustable shaft is rotatable within a range of slit hole 52c. Also even in a case where tightening of the female screw is improper or the wick is adhered with tar, causing an idle rotation of the connecting member 52, the projection 7c of the wick adjustable shaft 7 come to touch one end surface of the slit hole 52c to rotate surely the wick adjustable shaft 7 to lower the wick.
