<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a plated resin article having improved heat resistance and adhesion by using a resin composition made of a mixture of a prescribed amount each of aromatic polycarbonate resin and a thermoplastic graft copolymer with a specified amount of thermoplastic polyester resin so as to facilitate plating and to improve the adhesion of a metallic film formed by plating. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic polyester resin is added to a resin mixture consisting of 0-80wt% aromatic polycarbonate resin and 100-20wt% thermoplastic graft copolymer obtd. by grafting a graft-copolymerizable vinyl monomer on a diene-base rubber component as a stock. The amount of the polyester resin added is 0.3-20pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. resin mixture. The three components are mixed to prepare a thermoplastic resin composition, and this composition is molded by injection molding or other method. The resulting molded article can be easily plated, and a plated resin article is obtd.</p> |
