PURPOSE:To raise a heat treatment efficiency, and to complete annealing and heating within a prescribed time by measuring an actual temperature of a material to be annealed from a prescribed time point after heating has been started, comparing it with a set temperature, and correcting a target value of a furnace temperature by its deviation. CONSTITUTION:Heating of a material to be annealed 4 is started by a burner 8 in accordance with a target value of a furnace temperature determined in advance. At the time which has been determined by a weight, a soaking condi tion, etc. of the material to be annealed 4, each temperature is detected by a furnace temperature detector 6 and an annealed material temperature detector 7, and a voltage output is converted to a current by temperature converters 11, 12 and inputted to a control device 10. The control device 10 compares an actual temperature of the material to be annealed 4 and a set temperature and derives a deviation, corrects the target value of the furnace temperature by this deviation, controls a fuel control motor 9, and controls the furnace temperature. In this way, the operation is stabilized and the productivity is improved.
