During plastering, wallpapering and similar tasks, it is necessary to remove the operating devices and covers from electrical flush-mounted installation apparatuses in order to be able to carry out such tasks without hindrance. In order that the apparatuses which are exposed in such a manner in the flush-mounted sockets are reliably protected against contamination, damage and contact with bare parts which are live during operation, the invention has provided specially constructed protective covers. The protective cover is thus designed for switches in such a manner that, by means of a moulded part, it covers the operating device and the internal space of the socket as far as the supporting ring. The protective cover is fixed by means of flaps which are integrally formed on the moulded part and engage in free spaces in the switch insert when they are fitted. In contrast, the protective cover for earth-contact plug sockets has a moulded part which is like a plug-socket pot and has plug pins which are integrally formed in the same material and are plugged into the pole sockets of the socket insert when the protective cover is fitted. A handle, which is integrally formed in the same material, simplifies the fitting and removal of the protective cover. |
