PURPOSE:To prevent bubbles produced in a tank from being sucked by a pump, and to prevent the pump from making a noise and from lowering of its capacity, by providing the discharge port of a pump in the upper part of a tank, apart from the spot where water falls from a feed water pipe through a wave dissipating board. CONSTITUTION:Hot water through a feed water pipe 3 is collected in a tank 1. When the water level comes up to a water discharge port 8, sunken under the water, and the capacity of a pump is readied for working, the quantity of water fed from the feed water pipe 3 and that of water to be fed to a discharge pipe 7 are balanced with each other, and a predetermined water level is maintained. The water level is maintained by a float 4 controlling a flow rate regulating valve 2, when difference is produced between the in and out rates of water by the change in the rate of feed hot water from the pump. The discharge port 8 of a discharge pipe 7 is provided in the upper part of a tank 1, apart from the bottom 11 thereof, horizontally apart from the spot 9 where water falls from the feed water pipe 3, interposed by a wave dissipating board 10. With such an arrangement, bubbles 12 produced at the spot 9 are certainly prevented from coming into the discharge pipe 7 from the discharge port 8. |
