METHOD FOR PRODUCING POLYBUTADIENE HAVING AN ENHANCED MECHANICAL STRENGTH

In the polymerization of polybutadiene, this method is improves mechanical strength of products. The polymerization of 1,3-butadiene is performed with a catalyst. The catalyst is choosen from among cobalt catalyst, organic aluminium halide catalyst, (a reaction product of trialkylaluminium with water). The catalyst is composed of carbon disulfide and phenylisothiocyanate. The produced polybutadiene consists of 5-30 wt.% of n-hexane insoluble part (1,2-structure) and 70-95 wt.% of n-hexane soluble part (cis-1,4-structure).
