In a dishwasher which is provided with a washing container and a collection dish arranged in the bottom region of the washing container with a suction nozzle for an emptying pump, the pressure line of the emptying pump has a non-return valve which is arranged in the collection dish so as to be accessible from the inside of the washing container. By means of such a measure, it is achieved that the access to the valve for the purpose of cleaning or exchange is simplified. Additionally, the functioning of the valve and of the emptying pump can easily be checked, as a result of which the serviceability of the equipment is also increased.
