PURPOSE:To save manpower and to improve the efficiency by fixing the cutter spindle of pinion cutter abraded through gear cutting movably to gear cutting machine column horizontal section while fixing a cutter polisher to the column vertical section. CONSTITUTION:Upon completion of gear cutting work at the gear cutting position shown by dot line, the cutter spindle 17 is moved automatically to the cutter polishing position shown by solid line. Then the machine frame 45 for fixing a grinding wheel of cutter polisher 18 fixed to the column vertical section 13 is moved relatively against the inclined base 40 to advance the grinding wheel 47 toward the pinion cutter 16 then the grinding wheel 47 is rotated by a motor 50 to perform polishing. With such arrangement, mounting/ dismounting of pinion cutter is not required resulting in improvement of efficiency and saving of manpower. |
