1444116 Friction clutches SOC ANON FRANCAISE DU FERODO 19 Nov 1973 [20 Nov 1972 15 Feb 1973] 53599/73 Heading F2C In a friction clutch having a driven disc 11B which is clamped between a reaction plate 10B and a presser plate 13B by a spring 15 and is disengaged by radial release levers 21B, the latter act through auxiliary levers 35B and thrust rods 40B on the presser plate 13B and the auxiliary levers 35B bear against the reaction disc 10B radially inwardly of the contact 36B between the auxiliary levers 35B and the clutch release levers 21B and said contact 36B is radially inwardly of the release lever pivots 33B. As shown in a double clutch a second driven disc 11A is clamped between a driving flywheel 10A and a presser plate 13A by the spring 15 and is disengaged by radial release levers 21A which act on the presser plate 13A through tie rods 28A. The contact between the auxiliary lever 35B and clutch release lever 21B may be provided by a pivot (Figs. 5-11, not shown). In Fig. 12 (not shown) the auxiliary lever acts via a thrust rod on one presser plate of a double clutch whilst the associated release lever acts through a tie rod on the other presser plate. The clutch release levers and auxiliary levers may be made by stamping from sheet metal. |
