PURPOSE:To widen the width of the fixing temp. of a toner by using the crosslinked polymer of a copolymer consisting of a styrene monomer, acrylic acid and semi-ester compd. of specific structure and a polyvalent metallic compd. as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The copolymer contg. the semi-estr compd. as a constituting unit is formed by the esterification reaction of the styrene monomer, acrylate or metacrylate monomer, an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid deriv. contg. a hydroxyl group and dicarboxylic acid. Such copolymer and the polyvalent metal lic compd. are brought into reaction by which the resin compsn. for the toner consisting essentially of the polymer crosslinked with the metal is obtd. The fluoride, chloride, chlorate, bromide, etc. of Ca, Ag, Be, Mg, etc. are used for the polyvalent metallic compd. |
