Ski comprising a torsion resistant core layer (1) in the nature of a composite body consisting of at least one plate-shaped longitudinal supporting strap (2) and a zigzag-shaped or corrugated profile (3), the profile (3) and the longitudinal supporting strap (2) being connected to each other under line contacts extending cross to the longitudinal direction of the ski and the profile (3) being embedded in elastic filling material, characterized in that the profile (3) is placed on a base plate (2), provided as single longitudinal supporting strap, and connected rigidly to the base plate (2).
