PURPOSE:To reduce the period of time required for forming a record pattern and facilitate control, by a method wherein recording can be conducted with a single picture element line as a unit by a single conversion of character code information in a recording information sent in parallel into a record pattern. CONSTITUTION:The recording information is sent as parallel 8-bit data, which are received by an interface 11, and are converted into record pattern data as required. According to the control by a controlling part 10 and a video RAM controllingpart 13, data in the amount of a single picture element line in the recording width direction of a recording paper are sequentially stored into a video RAM12 on the basis of color basis data. When a one-line amount of data are completely stored in the video RAM12, the recording data are sequentially read from the RAM12, and recording color information made to correspond to a color section of a thermal ink ribbon by a color section controlling circuit 15 is sent to a heating area controlling part 7 by a color-selecting circuit 14. Accordingly, the period of time required for forming the record pattern is reduced, and control is facilitated. |
