PURPOSE:To use the same electromagnet for both automatic focusing (AF) and stop setting by setting a diaphragm after a photographic lens is set at a short-range position when a subject within a short-range area and setting the diaphragm while extending the photographic lens when within a long-range area. CONSTITUTION:When a range measurement signal is outputted from a range measuring circuit, the electromagnet G is excited with the range measurement signal to lock the focal adjusting member P for the photographic lens N at the 1st range position and then the electromagnet G is turned off with a light quantity signal from a light quantity detecting circuit to lock a stop setting member D; when no range measurement signal is outputted from the range measuring circuit, the electromagnet is excited through the operation of the light quantity detecting circuit simultaneously with the extension of the focus adjusting member P to the 2nd range position and turned off with the light quantity signal to lock the diaphragm setting member D.
