A power train for loads (3, 5, 7, 9) arranged in a door of a vehicle consists of a single preform (13) with a main branch and subsidiary branches, connecting elements (15) also being formed onto the ends of the preform (13) for connection to the loads and for securing the preform (13). The preform (13) is of self-bearing construction so that it can be fitted completely automatically by means of an automatic handling device into a vehicle door, accessible from one side, on connection contacts (11) which correspond to loads arranged therein. <IMAGE>
