A stop holds the front edge of a folded box coming from the guide slots preventing sliding to one side transverse to the diagonal plane running through both folding edges. Drivers adjustable in their angular position can be moved past the stop in guides along the guide slots and beyond their outlet openings. The drivers have a form or power connection with their adjoining folding dge which prevents any movement of the folding edge between the outward movement of the folding edge from the guide slots until the placing of the folding box on to the support surface, yet releases them afterwards. From then on the drivers take up angle positions relative to the diagonal plane of the folding box in which the drivers exert force components on to the folding box pressing them against the support surface.
