PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in a steering feeling ever so better, by installing a first motor, rotating an output shaft on the basis of an output signal out of an angle differential detecting part installed between both input and output shafts and also a second motor giving reaction force to the input shaft on the basis of a signal of the first motor. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel is operated and a relative angle differential is produced between an input shaft 12 and an output shaft 8, it is detected by a detecting part and, after a signal process takes place at a control circuit, each operation of motors 2 and 3 is controlled. That is to say, the motor 2 outputs such load torque as corresponding to the relative angle differential between both input and output shafts, and it is given to the output shaft 8 via a reduction gear 5 whereby wheel steering takes place. And, the motor 3 produces such torque as proportioned to that produced in the output shaft 8, giving the input shaft 12 this torque as reaction force. Thus, the load torque is given to the output shaft 8 by the motor 2, while steering reaction force is given to the input shaft 12 by the motor 3. Accordingly, a torque variation in the output shaft due to disturbance is not transmitted to the input shaft so that a favorable steering feeling is securable. |
