PURPOSE:To allow a smooth movement in the axial and radial directions by continuously changing the angle of crest and the bottom land diameter of the corrugated section, and dispensing with changing the thickness or the pitch of the corrugated section. CONSTITUTION:The angle of crest 21 is made increasingly smaller gradually from one end 11 toward the other end 12, while the diameter of the bottom land 22 is made increasingly larger. When the bellows so arranged contracts under its free state, the contraction starts at the other end 12 to ultimately reach the end 11, and when it expands under the contracted condition, the expansion starts at the end 11 to reach the other end 12. Such is the characteristics of the instant bellows. Therefore, there is no need to change the thickness or pitch of the corrugated section, and the change in the axial and radial directions becomes smooth.
