PURPOSE:To make the agglutination state quantitative, by making a coherent light irradiate fine particles dispersing in a medium liquid to measure the diffraction pattern, which is compared with the diffraction pattern of an unagglutinated sample. CONSTITUTION:A light beam from a light source 1 such as laser is made to irradiate a sample cell section 4 through an expander 2 and an aperture 3. The cell section 4 is provided with a sample holding mechanism section 15 and performs the temperature control or the like with a controller (CR)12. Light diffracted with the cell section 4 forms an image as diffraction pattern on a focusing surface 6 with a Fourier transform lens 5 and the intensity distribution is measured with a photoelectric tube 7. A scanning section 8 is controlled 10 to provide positional information on the surface 6 detected with the photoelectric tube 7 to the CR12. On the other hand, the light intensity signal obtained with the photoelectric tube 7 processed with an amplification filter 11 to be provided to the CR12 as diffraction pattern intensity signal. The CR12 performs a processing for numerical conversion of the difference from a reference pattern, calculation of particle size distribution and the like and the results are displayed 13. |
