Multipurpose ladder assembled from individual structural components by means of insertion connections, which ladder can be extended with additional supplementary structural components for various work purposes, and in which the individual structural components consist of two side cheeks and, connected rigidly to these, a cross-member designed as a tread surface, and the side cheeks have upwardly directed insertion openings for the lower insertion ends of the side cheeks of the following individual structural component, and in which a supplementary structural component serves as ladder foot, which consists of two side cheeks and, connected rigidly to these, a cross- member designed as a tread surface, and the side cheeks have upwardly directed insertion openings for the lower insertion ends of the side cheeks of the following individual structural component and in each case at their lower end a base plate for erecting on the floor or similar base.
