Method of producing a flexible subsoil seal in a subsoil having piling obstacles, in particular for mining subsidence areas, in which first of all a trench is made in the subsoil, the trench is filled with a mass which can be driven through, and steel sheet piles of a flexible sheet-pile diaphragm wall are driven one after the other into the mass which can be driven through. The trench is made as a narrow wall trench without excavation by alternately driving and extracting an impact-driven pile with which the piling obstacles can be driven through. When the impact-driven pile is being driven, the piling obstacles are driven through. During the extraction of the impact-driven pile, the trench is progressively filled with the mass which can be driven through.
