<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an input device equipped with comb-tooth type electrodes having high linearity, by providing electrodes for input in parallel with each other on a base plate and, at the same time, a separate body of electrically coupling member in the direction intersecting the electrodes for input. CONSTITUTION:Resistance films are provided by coating or deposition on a parallel- electrode group 1, each of which is arranged in the same pitch and has the same shape, on an insulating base plate. A belt, on the one side of which projected parts which are arranged in the same pitch as that of the parallel electrodes and have a fixed shape are patterned, is connected with the parallel electrodes 1 in such a way that only the projected parts made of a carbon sheet having a uniform plane resistance value are sticked to the parallel electrodes 1 with a conductive bonding agent 3 so that the projected parts can be overlapped with the electrodes 1. When a voltage of 5V is applied across both ends of the carbon sheet, a sneak current exists in the vicinity of the connecting sections but no electric current reaches the connecting section 3 with the parallel electrodes 1. Since the same electric current exists at all the projected parts, the linearity depends upon the linearity of the uniform resistance body, high linearity is obtained, and an input device is manufactured by joining plural pieces of this base plate.</p> |
