1. Metronome for optical and/or accoustical reproduction of rhythms at adjustable beat frequency, having an input device (4) for introducing a sequence of note and/or pause values forming at least one measure, a memory unit (27) for storing said sequence, a circuit (27, 30) for repeatedly generating control signals in correspondance with the introduced sequence and with the adjusted beat frequency and at least an optical output device (13, 15-19) for a successive display of the note and pause values simultaneous to the reproduced rhythms, characterized in that the output device comprises a defined number of discrete, locally fixed display elements (14, 15-19) arranged in at least one line, each of said display elements being assigned to a defined note - or pause value, wherein each line of display elements comprises one measure and wherein each display element by means of a lead is connected to a driver circuit (39, 40), which is controlled by said control signals so that at each begin of a measure the first display element in at least one line is actuated. |
