The conveying apparatus is provided with conveying elements which have a base wall and side walls. At least one part of the walls is of flexible design. This flexible wall part performs relative movements, by means of which material located in the conveying element is reliably released from the walls. As a result of the movement of the flexible wall part, even sticky material is automatically released from the conveying elements.
