The invention concerns a frame 1 whose side posts and, if appropriate, top and bottom parts consist of frame profiles 6 and window sill profiles 9 which each have a web section 18, 100, respectively, and a sill section 20, 102, respectively. The straight web sections 100 of the window sill have U-shaped slots 108 intended to enclose the frame 1 and bolts 86 holding the window sill 8 together. The frame with associated sill can be mounted and transported in the dismantled state and can be easily adapted to different widths of door openings 150 and different wall thicknesses 7 by choosing different lengths of top parts 4 and of window sill profiles 9 with different lengths of web sections 100. For fitting the frame, a screw arrangement is used which consists of a tubular bolt 74 with outer and inner threads 76 and 78, a hollow bolt 86 and a screw 94. The tubular bolt 74 is screwed into a threaded hole 56 in a J-shaped base fixture 42 belonging to the frame for bearing against an inner wall 7. The screw 94 is screwed through the tubular bolt 74 into the wall, its head coming to lie against an inwardly directed flange of the latter. Finally, the hollow bolt 86 is screwed into the tubular bolt 74, its bolt head 92 directly or indirectly locking the web section 100 of the window sill against the contact surface 53 of the J-shaped fixture. <IMAGE> |
