PURPOSE:To provide the titled paint compsn. for surface treatment, which imparts excellent wear resistance, lubricity, water repellency, etc. to the surface of a high-molecular elastomer, by incorporating a curable polyurethane, a curable silicone and a modified EPDM as film-forming elements. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. curable polyurethane (A) consisting of a combination of a polyisocyanate (e.g. hexamethylene diisocyanate) with a polyol, 1-100pts.wt. curable silicone (B) and 5-300pts.wt. modified EPDM are mixed together to thereby incorporate them as film-forming elements, thus obtaining a paint compsn. for the surface treatment of a high-molecular elastomer (e.g. nonpolar rubber). Examples of the modified EPDM are those obtd. by grating N- methylolacrylamide, or 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate onto a chlorinated EPDM having a chlorine content of 10-30%.
