PURPOSE:To obtain a differential histogram in a short time for the values of two picture elements on a picture memory, by using a delay means which gives a delay equal to plural picture elements set from outside to the data read out of the picture memory and outputs the data. CONSTITUTION:A counter 71 obtains the number of picture elements covering the one at one side to which the differential should be secured through the one at the other side from the number of picture elements in the row direction of a picture memory 2. This number of picture elements is set as the maximum count value, and the read clocks of the memory 2 are counted. Thus a kind of a shift register of variable length is constituted with a register 6, the counter 71 and a memory 72. Then the picture data stored in the memory 2 is read for each picture element by the raster scan and written on the memory 72. At the same time, the storage contents of the address of said picture data are read. Thus it is possible to read simultaneously the values of two picture elements to which the differential should be secured. |
