摘要 PURPOSE:The titled film having a high refractive index and being useful for optical waveguides of optical integrated circuits, comprising a monolayer or multilayer comprising a monomolecular film of a specified polycondensed imine or a multilayer comprising this monolayer and a laminating film of a different kind. CONSTITUTION:A polyfunctional aldehyde monomer which forms a monolayer of a monomolecular film (e.g., terephthalaldehyde) is spread over the surface of an aqueous solution containing a polyfunctional amine monomer (e.g., P- phenylenediamine). The monolayer on the surface of the water is contracted by surrounding to allow the monolayer of the monomer to react with an underlying monomer to obtain a super-thin film comprising a monolayer or multilayer of monomolecular films of a polycondensed imine having repeating units of the formula (wherein R is an aromatic, heteroaromatic, aliphatic, olefinic or acetylenic residue and R' is an aromatic, heteroaromatic or olefinic residue) or a multilayer comprising at least one said monolayer and a laminating film of a different kind.
