A novel compound of the formula, <IMAGE> wherein R denotes a lower perfluoroalkyl group l is an integer of 3 or 4, n+m is an integer of 2 or 3, provided that n may be zero, and at least one of ring A and ring B may be substituted by a lower perfluoroalkyl group, prepared by reacting the corresponding perhydro compound with fluorine is useful as a material capable of carrying oxygen in an aqueous emulsion for lifesaving a patient suffering from massive hemorrhage and for preserving internal organs in transplantation.
