PURPOSE:To produce a high-tenacity spun yarn, by using a yarn guide tube attached near the spinning rotor and having an inlet face inclined to the surface including the collecting groove of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:The spinning rotor 1 of an open-end spinning machine is furnished with the collecting groove 4 at the part having maximum diameter. A yarn guide tube 2 for twisting and pulling out the short fibers accumulated in the collecting groove 4 is placed opposite to and coaxially with the rotor 1. The inlet face P' of the yarn guide tube 2 is inclined to the plane Q including the collecting groove 4 of the rotor 1. Accordingly, the fiber bundle Sa peeled from the fiber peeling point Z in the collecting groove 4 is oscillated by the rotation of the inclined inlet face P' in the course of being introduced into the fiber guide tube 2, and the fibers in the fiber bundle Sa are extended. A spun yarn having high tenacity can be produced by this process. |
