PURPOSE:To improve the power conversion efficiency by providing a capacitor charged to the prescribed voltage from a winding for a base current, and controlling the base current of a switching transistor by the charging voltage, thereby reducing a loss current. CONSTITUTION:In a converter for supplying a power generated in the secondary side winding N2 of a transformer 3 to a load 15 by connecting a switching transistor 1 in series with the primary side winding N1 of a transformer 3 to intermittently control the primary side current, a capacitor 9 which is charged from both of a DC power source 14 and the base current supplying winding NB of the transformer 3 is provided. In this case, the charging voltage of the capacitor 9 is to become the prescribed voltage proportional to the output voltage V0 of a power source. A transistor 11 is controlled by the charging voltage of the capacitor 9 to supply the prescribed base current to the transistor 1. |
